Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy eggshell white head that settles to a light layer and leaves plenty of nice lacing.
S: A quick hit of Southern Hem diesel, followed by juicy tropical and stone fruit, ripe zesty citrus, slight grassy and resinous notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Ripe tropical and stone fruit, pineapple, passion fruit, apricot, peach, mango, plus hints of mixed berry and grape candy, zesty juicy citrus, tangerine, grapefruit, and lemon, resinous grassy herbal notes, a touch of Southern Hem diesel, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, mild to moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: I've been going back and forth trying to figure out how I want to score this one. It's quite tasty as it sits; the Citra and Nectaron build off each other rather nicely. But at the same time, it feels like it's a tiny tweak or two away from being even better. I think lightening up the malt just a touch and adding a little more carbonation to brighten it up would do the trick.
