Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Herbal, grassy, resinous pine, citrus zest, subtle tropical and stone fruit, biscuity bready malt, and just a faint hint of honey.
T: Resinous pine, grassy earthy herbal notes, citrus zest, orange/tangerine, grapefruit, lime, and lemon, a little underlying tropical and stone fruit, passion fruit, peach, apricot, pineapple and blueberry, faint vanilla, biscuity bready malt, and just a hint of honey sweetness with a fairly dry finish.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, crisp, slightly chewy.
O: Flavor wise it gives old school Westy vibes; herbal, resinous, citrus, mild fruity undertones, and a sturdy malt backbone. It also brings some modern Westy drinkability; a fair amount of bitterness but not a full punch in the mouth, and a softer body. Definitely more green/herbal/borderline dank than I was expecting, but I'm sure others will be more into that than me. If I didn't know better I'd say there was some Idaho 7 in there. I'd prefer it a bit brighter in general, especially on the malt side, but it's still pretty solid, even if I would probably reach for something else for my next round.
