The very first Oktoberfest celebration in Munich was to honor the wedding of King Ludwig and Princess Therese. Our homage to the beer served at present day Oktoberfests is our Ludwig festbier lager. Brewed with German malts and German hops, we’ve created a light, malty, and sessionable lager.

Look - solid copper and clear with nice head
Smell and Taste - bready and sweet, a lot less than umph than a solid festbier
Feel - medium light body with a slight carb
Overall - pretty easy going and lighter than expected

From the 16 oz bottle in a snifter. This solid little fest pours a clear medium
golden with a very nice head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thick clumping
layer, and shows some nice lacing. Nose of rich breaded malts, floral hops, and honey
sweet malt. Flavors hit the mark with a nice representation of the style with honey sweet malts,
breaded malts, light crust, light grain notes, and very nice floral hop flavors. Mouth feel is
medium light, medium light carbonation, smooth, and a nicely balanced lightly sweet finish.
Overall, a SOLID fest
Cheers
