Shadow Beast is our sweet and roasty Milk Stout. It's brewed with a copious malt varieties to bring out coffee, chocolate, and caramel notes. A moderate lactose addition to the boil adds body and residual sweetness. After some light hopping, this beast is a perfect blend of bitter roast, sweet chocolate, and creamy vanilla.

From the growler via the brewery in a pint glass. This solid stout pours a
dark brownish black with a decent head of khaki foam that settles to a thick
ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some nice light lacing. Nose of dark toasted malts,
chocolate, mild char, cream, dark chocolate, and subtle coffee. Flavors find a near
perfect balance of flavors with dark chocolate, dark coffee, dark berry hints, cream,
mellow char, deep roast, and subtle herbal hops. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich,
coating, light carbonation, and a sweet yet balanced finish that is not cloying at
all that is lightly dry.
Overall, a fantastic milk stout!
Cheers
