16.9 ounce wax capped bottle, no dating that I noticed on it. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that fizzled away somewhat quickly. Not much lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like cacao nibs, vanilla, roasted malt, caramel, coconut and some bourbon. For the most part the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also some dark bready flavors noticeable too. Overall the taste leans sweeter, but with no one flavor overpowering the others. Kinda wish the barrel character was stronger here. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's rich and a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one a lot but recommend it more to people who like sweeter tasting and pastry stouts in general.
