Early spring in Cincinnati is meant for celebrating our city’s rich German heritage by marching through the streets and drinking Bock! Our traditional Bock lager, Rasselbock, is brewed with 100% German malts and hops for a rich, caramel and toffee forward lager that is both complex in flavor and reminiscent of a simpler time. Lagered for over 30 days for a clear complexion and super crisp finish.

Had it at Bockfest 2026 at Morlein Lager house in a plastic cup.
Out of all the Bocks I tried, this one was the least enjoyable.
No aroma, real flat, just did not work. I was with a couple brewers and they were just as unimpressed as me.
Reading the other review, from the same beer straight from the brewery. There must have been something wrong on site at Moerlein. I will give it another try when I get the chance.

From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This monster (no pun intended) of
a bock pours a clear medium dark ruby tinged mahogany with a nice head of khaki foam
that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sport some nice lacing. Nose of brown
sugars, dark breaded malts, subtle herbal hops, rich caramel, and toffee. Flavors hit the
points for style and excellent execution with rich caramel, toffee, subtle cherry, dark
breaded malts, brown sugars, and perfectly balanced lightly herbal hops. Mouth feel
is medium, medium light carbonation, smooth, and finishes lightly sweet and nicely balanced.
Overall, a stellar brew that if I was told it was straight from Germany I would of easily been
fooled. Excellent craft and worthy of entering in a GABF....fantastic!
Cheers
