awesome beer, they call this an extra pale, its insanely dry and clean, with a lovely hop profile, really professionally done, and honestly another superior product from this small town operation that deserves some real attention, their lineup is stellar. this is blonde, frothy white headed, and sports peppy carbonation, nice head retention and lace, very light and delicate for a pale ale, just off from all the way clear. it smells awesome, fresh as can be, hints of the pineapple side of mosaic, a little terpene and weedy thing happening too, green grape and white wine, mild stone fruit and yellow florals, springy and in bloom to me, brand new, real light on the grain side, totally modern. the flavor is even better, dry hoppy and punchy and fresh, middle of the road bitterness, tons of cool fruity hops from crushed pineapple to meyer lemon, white grapefruit, green gooseberry, and a cool lushness that makes this supremely refreshing. maybe just a simple clean pils malt base here, its adequate but well out of the way, and this has different kind of proportions for a pale, even an extra pale, its almost more like session ipa with the hop intensity and relatively minor grain contribution. the ferment is clean and dry, the carbonation dances, and this is a total ripper loaded with delicious hop character without being overdone. smart and delicious, nice hop combination, ideal for hot summer weather, looking forward to my last can of this in the fridge, cant say enough about what these guys are up to right now!

edit: even in just a short time the bitterness is more evident now, really hits at the end, like some of the hops are fading to that, and its rather intense right on the swallow and with some linger, which does ding into the delicate nature of it a little bit, and i liked it better the first couple of times than i did this time for sure, backing off the mouthfeel score just a tad, extreme freshness flatters beer like this, still excellent, better than most, undeniably.
