an italian pils thats crisp and bold, really hoppy, even as the style goes, and to me packing a little more bitterness than most, but drinkable and delicious anyway, more sturdy as it warms, husky and hully on the grain side, malty like a pils, fresh and earthy crackery, near dry, and the yeast is well deployed here, with a fast finish, a little old world flavor to it, and enhancing a nice mineral presence that runs though it. the hops hit at dried lemon zest, bitter pith, and light noble spiciness, to me almost like a wheatgrass or something, vegetal in a way that makes it fresh not forced, and there might be a light brassy metallic thing late if i am being critical, but this is pretty tight and polished, and i think these guys are really doing cool stuff. the can said this was part of their international collection, id love to see what other beers are in that series! this has some body to it, quite a bit of malt to balance out the hops even though its not rich or sweet or bready or anything, and the carbonation is excellent, really spirited and refreshing. im keeping my eye on helper, everything ive had from them so far has been great, yet they seem to still be way under the radar...
