Named after the founder of Thirsty Crab this IPA uses Bob’s original recipe. A true classic East Coast IPA, this beer starts with a sweet malt flavor but follows up with a bitter hop bite. When things are this good you just don’t change them.

I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a classic bowtie schooner glass.
Appearance: medium golden hue with just a dash of haze and a finger of ivory foam atop.
Smell: mild aroma with a little sweetness and some citrusy hop character. There’s also a little yeastiness coming through. Not bad.
Taste: grapefruit peel hops with a moderately sweet malt. There’s an initial kinda damp earthiness that’s not my favorite, but the citrus finishes with a juicy brightness that I quite like.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: honestly, at first, it didn’t grab me, but it’s growing on me. Very classic American IPA vibe.
