Danevang Mexipils is a beer that tastes and refreshes when the heat rises to the “skull” and when the snake plays up to the sun dance. It is our take on a Mexican-inspired pilsner. Fresh and crisp in taste and a real thirst quencher, which can be enjoyed with or without lime boat, cactus & bass guitar.

Vanløse 25/6 2022. 50 cl bottle shared at Garden Party. Light blue label in the usual Danevang design with a skeletal conquistador, a cactus and other Mexican paraphernalia.
Pours clear pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with a sweet fruity scent. Sweet pale malts, peach and white sugar. A bit perfumed.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and rather watery. Lingers shortly. Finish is sweetish and a bit flat.
A rather strange aspiration to emulate a Corona. Predictably uninteresting.
