Everything is bigger in the USA and this bottom-fermented lager is no exception! More malt and hops with a little Christmas spice, here in the form of coconut sugar and vanilla extract.

Copenhagen 13/6 2020. 33 cl bottle from Vild med Vin web-shop. Simple blue label stating the name of the beer and quoting a Christmas carol.
Pours clear amber with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is medium intense with a prominent, malty sweetness and light roastiness. Caramel, sweet malts. Lightly roasted. Hints of nuts.
Light carbonation. Thin, watery, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with light bitter undercurrent. Semi-dry finish.
Not much of pilsner. More in the vein of a sweetish Vienna.
