On tap at Spotted Octopus Brewing in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a golden orange-ish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells toasty and honey-like, with some caramel and a touch of grassiness.
I don’t see pale mild enough, so I had to order this. It’s pretty solid, all in all, with a lightly sweet honeyed malt character, some bittersweet caramel, and very toasty breadiness. There’s just the lightest hint of grassy and spicy bitterness.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and quite drinkable.
Not every single beer from these folks is worth a try, but I’d say this one is.
