1851 is my first beer from Ogden Beer Company. I am using a pint glass, and the serving temperature is 42 degrees. The pour is creamy and foamy, with a three-fingered white head that has above-average retention. The somewhat slow dissipation left chunks of lacing on the glass. The beer's color is straw yellow with light golden hues; its clarity is clear, and it registers an SRM of 2. The appearance of the beer is above average. I rarely see American Lagers with a long-lasting head.
Nosing the beer, I smell toasted bread, crackers, light floral esters, a touch of resin, a grainy sweetness, and grassy notes.
The flavors are straightforward, with notes of lightly toasted malts, crackers, a light floral bouquet, grassy minerality, grainy sweetness, a touch of resin, and a subtle herbal note.
The mouthfeel is crisp, finishing light and refreshing. The body is light with medium-plus carbonation.
Final Thought: Another easy sipper after a long day at work. The beer is plain but in a good way—a great camping beer, perfect for enjoying by the fire on a weekend with good company. What surprises me is how well-made this beer is. I would go to the brewery and quaff a few pints, delicious stuff.

Taster at OBC. Clear golden pour. Small white foamy head dissipates quickly. Biscuity, grainy aroma and taste, light sweetness. Nice feel, mild crisp finish.
