Pours hazy creamsicle orange with a patchy, smallish head. The aroma is of tropical, peach, pineapple hops mixed with bready pale malts. The taste is hop forward with lots of tropical, floral notes. Grainy malts in abundance as well. The mouthfeel is light bodied with high carbonation. Light bitterness and some maltiness in the short finish.

A nice session IPA with a dense hop profile. Worth a try.

Pours thick and hazy with a huge fluffy head on top. The smell is hoppy, bitter. The taste is really good considering it’s a light beer. Hoppy, citrusy, as any IPA should be. Slightly sweet on the aftertaste. Overall a pretty good beer

473 mL can from the LCBO; best before Aug 7 2020 and served slightly chilled.

Pours a tad foggy, with a golden blonde-coloured body that is capped off with nearly a finger of soapy, foamy white head. It dissipates within the next couple of minutes, soon reduced to a thick collar and a few far-flung strands of lace; looks fine to me. Smells clean and grassy, with hints of grainy wheat and pale malts overlying very subtle, indistinct suggestions of tropical fruit and citrus pith.

Its flavours are light and inoffensive, with flavours of pineapple, mandarin orange and apricot atop a gritty, grainy wheat malt scaffold; it starts to lean more grassy and floral towards the back end, with mild bitterness at the finish and a relatively dry aftertaste that begs for another sip. Light in body, with assertive carbonation that prickles the palate with each sip, resulting in a lively, pleasing mouthfeel; it's refreshing and the sort of thing I could probably drink all day while camping or what-have-you.

Final Grade: 3.75, barely a B+. Session IPAs have never been a big draw personally, so an extra-light one such as Muskoka's Born This Way Nano IPA is working uphill to begin with as far as my tastes are considered. That being said, it's flavourful enough to get by, making it fine for what it is... but I wouldn't say it matches up to fresh Detour. You should try this at least once, given the worthy cause, and decide for yourself whether or not it's worth a repeat.
