Look: Pours a bright clear pale copper. Big fluffy two fingers of white head that disapates slowly leaving a substancial amount of lacing around the top of the glass after 5 minutes.
Smell: Grassy, and grainy, with green apples and barlett pears,
Taste: Grainy and malty, reminds me of light rye toast. Hints of lemon grass, with a slight and pleasing medicinal tartness on the back end.
Feel: Light and airy at the front of the sip, giving way to a bit heavier quality sitting across the tongue and bottom of the mouth on the middle and back end. It leaves a slightly oily sheen in your mouth.
A really nice example of the style. This earns a strong B+

Looks beautiful, golden clear and topped with a frothy head. The smell is sweet, with a metallic note to it. The taste is pure Oktoberfest, exactly what I expected. Slightly carbonated, with a sweet and dry aftertaste

473 mL can from the LCBO; 'freshest by' Jan 6 2021 and served at cellar temperature.
Pours a bright, clear medium golden hue, topped with nearly two fingers of foamy white head that recedes within a few minutes. A frothy collar and thin cap remain; minimal lacing, but it looks like a festbier to me. It smells of grainy pale malts and breadiness, with suggestions of caramelized sugars and grassy hay also coming through.
A pretty darn solid lager - I'm drinking it basically at (basement) room temperature and I'm still not really seeing any flaws. It tastes of grainy pale malts, lightly toasted bread and light caramel sweetness; this continues through the back end, joined by a subtle touch of grassy hops, preceding a toasty sweet finish that doesn't linger into the aftertaste for long. Light-ish in body, with moderate carbonation that gently prickles the surface of the palate, providing a little bit of bite to this otherwise smooth-drinking lager. Supremely drinkable.
Final Grade: 3.81, a B+. Munich To My Ears is an immaculately clean, proper festbier - not only did I polish my glass off with the greatest of ease, I was legitimately bummed that I didn't have another to drink afterwards. If those aren't two signs of a good German-style lager, then I don't know what are. Muskoka is not exactly known for its lagers, German-style or otherwise, but this is a good rendition of a festbier that I expect to return to repeatedly in the near future, depending on how many other festbiers and/or märzens show up this autumn. Try this one if you can find it.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for $3.65 CDN.
Appearance- Brilliant clear golden brew with copper highlights. A finger and a half of white head is poured and sits on top for a goodly while. Sparse spotty lacing is featured. Plenty of visible carbonation.
Smell - Grainy notes, hints of caramel, general earthiness with a tiny bit of lemon.
Taste - clean and bready, tons of grain, hints of grass, earthy bitterness possible a touch of lemon again.
Mouthfeel - Medium-light bodied, clean and refreshing, good carbonation, drinks quite nicely.
Overall - It's that time of year, days getting shorter and cooler, but a fresh Oktoberfest like Munich to My Ears really is like music to my ears (or maybe just my tastebuds). Well crafted and eminently enjoyable, will purchase a few more while the supposedly limited stock is gone.
