An open road ahead, windows down, and your favourite tunes cranked up. With scenic views and spontaneous stops, you never know where a road trip might take you. Upon arrival, refresh with a hazy pale ale packed with citrus, tropical and stone fruit flavours, mixed with a little bit of wanderlust. Don’t forget to gently shake and pour hard as this brew is infused with nitrogen for an extra smooth ride. Remember, home is where you park it. 30 IBU

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from their Survival Pack from my favourite The Beer Store on Goyeau St. in nearby downtown Windsor. My fourth beer from the Bracebridge, ON brewery.

473 mL can from the LCBO, included in Muskoka's latest Survival mixed pack. Dated Mar 13 2024 and served slightly chilled.
Pours hazy golden yellow, fitted with a two finger crown of tight, foamy white head that lasts for quite some time. Nearly ten minutes later, a creamy quarter-inch cap and collar are still holding steady, with a modest ring of lace clinging to the glass - quite attractive, at least visually. Citrusy aromas of grapefruit and orange peel come through, as well as hints of pine needles, lemon and stone fruit.
Tasty stuff, not unlike the (original) non-nitro version of this beer - wheaty background sweetness is overlain by notes of grapefruit, apricot, melon and berries, with a hint of mango. A little piney on the back end, with low level bitterness fading into a mildly fruity finish; the aftertaste is off-dry. Medium-light in body, with the gentle nitro carbonation adding a fluffy, fulfilling dimension to this brew's smooth, soft mouthfeel. Great drinkability due to its low bitterness and satisfying mouthfeel.
Final Grade: 3.95, a B+. Muskoka's Drifter Nitro is basically the same, very solid hazy pale ale they've been brewing for the last couple of years. The nitro doesn't actually change all that much - it might improve the visuals and mouthfeel somewhat, while also weakening the aroma to a very minor extent. I'd say it's pretty close to a wash, though if I'm being honest I'd prefer the original non-nitro version. Good stuff, worth trying at least once and easily one of the better brews in this mixed pack.

Pours hazed gold with a frothy everlasting head. Loads of fresh tropical and citrus fruit explode in the aroma with lemony, piney hops in abundance as well. The taste is abundantly fruity with peach, blood orange and mango notes in the forefront. the mouthfeel is creamy and full bodied with coating alpha acid bitterness. The finish is moderately bitter with a lot of fruity hop flavors lingering.
A highly fruity and low bitterness IPA. I had to check there wasn't any added fruit puree. Excellent, juicy stuff.
