Kick back with a classic dockside cocktail, crafted into a refreshingly tart, gose-style beer. Experience the bright pop of freshly squeezed limes contrasted by a hint of salinity, reminiscent of a salted rim with ice clicking around in your glass. No need to head to the departure gate, every sip of our vibrant, spirit-inspired Muskoka Margarita captures the essence of relaxing and basking in the sunshine.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. Canned March 27/25. My 18th beer from the Bracebridge, Ontario brewery, and 8th for 2026. Admirably loved by Sundae the cat...

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Mar 27 2025 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy pale golden colour, capped with nearly two fingers of soapy, foamy white head that fades within three minutes or so. Its remnants include a thin collar and a few wisps of film on the surface, with some spotty lace deposition over the course of the session. Standard kettle sour aromas of wheat, lemon and faint lacto-funk, with lime and coriander also coming through. No sign of tequila, which is fine with me, but also doesn't help its case as a "margarita sour".
It tastes fine. Moderately sour and tart at the forefront, with lime juice, lemon and lactic acidity supported by a wheaty malt base. Coriander and salt water join the mix later on, receding together into a salted lime finish that reverberates into the aftertaste. Light in body, with average carbonation that adds some bite to this brew's smooth mouthfeel. Easy to drink quickly, and more refreshing than an actual margarita, probably due to the lack of tequila.
Final Grade: 3.73, a B grade. Margarita goses have become a common summer seasonal in recent years: they're both salty & acidic, plus margaritas are one of the most popular mixed drinks on the planet, making for a natural mashup. It makes tons of sense for a brewer to include something like this in their lineup, e.g. as an option for customers who don't like 'regular' beer, or maybe for those who like margaritas, but would like to be able to legally operate their vehicle afterwards. Muskoka's stab at this fad is adequate, but I wouldn't say it's superlative - just a passable summer gimmick beer. A one and done for me, but worth a try if it piques your interest.
