Norwegian Farmhouse Ale
Until the early 1800s, Norwegian law required farmers to brew beer for special occasions such as Christmas, weddings, and funerals. What set Norwegian farmhouse brewers apart was their use of juniper, and farmhouse yeast called kveik. These brews were boiled over wood fire infusing smoke into the final product.
Our Norwegian Farmhouse Ale incorporates local Rocky Mountain juniper, local Big Sky Orchards Saaz hops, smoked cherry malt, and Norwegian kveik to create a rugged, piney, and mildly smokey ale you won't find anywhere else.
As the name denotes, this beer honors warriors past and present with the promise to see each other again in the afterlife. Skol!
