Served cold at the Kennebunkport Federal Jack's brewpub this shows a clear copper color with a weak white head and fair lacing. The aroma is strong malt caramel toffee, not a lot of hops to identify, but a hint of citrus. The flavor is much the same, sweet potatoe brown sugar and earthy malt with a fair lemonesque hop finish. Reasonable bitterness but plenty of malt bread base. It's medium light bodied with tiny bubbles and a peppery feel. It improves a bit as it approaches room temperature with a tart front but a mellower sweet base. Plenty drinkable and definitely worth a try, a respresentative bitter.

Had this on-tap at Federal Jack's. It was one of the beers I had never heard of in the Shipyard family and decided to go with it. I can't find any information about it anywhere, so I'm not sure if it's a one-time beer or something they do every once and awhile.

Pours a nice golden/orange/amber color, not much of a head and it doesn't leave any real lacing on the glass.

Smell is a good blend of hops and malt, leaning slightly towards the hops.

Taste is rather crisp, a good brew to have on a nice sunny day, the sweet malt is balanced out with the mild hop bitterness, good carbonation.

I can see this being a good cask candidate, not sure if they have casks here though.
