Another new beer and brewery to me. I did sample the sour they make, and that was fabulous. I am using a pint glass, and the serving temperature is 42 degrees. The pour created a frothy, airy, three-fingered white head with excellent retention. The slow dissipation left chunks of lacing on the glass. The color is straw yellow with light golden hues, charting at SRM 2, and is clear with lots of carbonation. The appearance of this beer is incredible. I can not believe I am going to do this, but it is 5/5.
Nosing the glass, I detect notes of grass, a light floral bouquet, corn sweetness, lightly toasted malts, and a touch of yeastiness.
The flavor is complex yet straightforward, featuring notes of grass, light floral hints, corn sweetness, lightly toasted malts, yeastiness, and a hint of resin.
The mouthfeel is carbonic yet finishes crisp and dry. The body is light and has medium-plus carbonation.
Final Thought: The beer was a surprise, considering it was an American Lager. The brewers pushed the hop profile a bit for being an American lager. I enjoyed sipping the beer on this hot summer day, which helped cool me off.
