Had on tap at RBBC. Not my go to style, but do enjoy more classic Flemish sours. So thought I’d give it a try.
Pleasantly surprised.
Brew came across as a nicely full feeling cream ale with very pleasant vanilla orange (creamsicle) like flavors. This was married to a restrained but very good tartness.
While creamy body was core; there was also a nice sparklingly effervescence within.
The overall experience was somewhat reminiscent of a tasty orange vanilla ice cream float that had melded/melted all its parts together into a creamy residual body; a just right amount of carbonation and a very good accompanying tartness.
Not sure I’ll ever come around to thinking beer, but certainly aware many others enjoy this style. Having said that I enjoyed the brew and that it showcased some very good brew crafting. Kudos.
