very solid helles lager, a little light on its german identity to me, like the grain doesnt quite hit as bready and the yeast as old world as the imported examples of this style, but that said, the proportions are excellent, its plenty flavorful, and its a beer i can and want to drink eight of, so no complaints here for this being on the lighter side. posted at just 4.3% abv when i was in. blonde and clear, decent white head from the tap, fine carbonation, looks the part alright. aroma is biscuity and fresh, with less from the lager yeast than a lot of these have and a bit of malt sweetness evident. light handed noble hop herbal character comes through as fresh too, and this has nice earthy minerality, a light baked warmth, crisp. the flavor is the same, fresh, mineral forward, light in body, less sweet than it smells i guess, but its close, drier later too. biscuit and pancake maltiness, more classically german as it warms, but the yeast part stays light as well. these guys are achieving technical excellence across a range of styles very early in their existence and i am stoked for where they are headed. a great addition to the local scene!

Side pull pour at Berts . Bright, clear golden, head fades to thin white ring. Aroma is bready, dough, grainy. Taste follows with more bready flavors, a little sweetness, minor hoppy bite at the finish. Incredibly smooth.
