really a good amber ale here, clean and even crisp, could be cooler ferment, its drier than a lot of these and almost snappy to me, infinitely drinkable and even somewhat interesting in a style that rarely is, i was stoked on this beer, it warms up well which is a good thing this time of year, and the quality is high, impressive specimen here, easily stands out from the crowd. its even a little difficult to call out what makes this different, there are appreciable hops in aroma and flavor, perhaps a little bit citrus forward and not without some late bitterness, but this isnt into the hoppy red range to me, its still am amber, and there is yeast to my senses to, non neutral but not quite lager-like, maybe its the water chemistry, a there is unique mineral composition here, but even that might not quite explain it. the grain is robust without being rich, its never heavy or sweet, but all the flavor we expect in a beer in this style and color are present, almost slightly english there to me, a toffee note, raisin, and there is an obvious freshness which i never really think about in an amber but it pops in this. nice balance, nice flow, nice drinkability, overall just nice beer, refreshing for a malty one, really pretty liquid top to bottom, i love their beer when they are at their best like this!

Draft at brewery. Clear am er pour with a persistent foamy off-white head. Toasty, malty aroma, toffee. Taste is bready, rye, toasty, caramel with a touch of dryness. Really full feel and so damn tasty!
