good to seem them do something a little mor exotic, i was excited to try this, been mostly classic styles and old school approaches so far. a kettle sour with raspberry and a nice looking brew in their unique glassware, fuller saturation on the pale red, some haze and some body apparent, smells to me like real fruit, tangy more than sweet, not pushing into that jammy range or anything, and not real complex, but it doesnt need to be, just enough from the grain for it to be beer instead of juice or melted popsicle, summery and lighthearted, im into it. the flavor is fruit dominated, but i do pick up some pale barley and what must be some wheat, there is a nice texture to this, a little more heft to it, but still dry. the fruit is real to me, piquant and well dosed, summery. i think the key to this is how clean and how minimal the souring is, this could be a pint beer, i could have done three or four of these stemmed glasses full, and that is uncommon for the style, the acid is modest so its not hard on the teeth or the belly, and its tidy, no weirdness, cheesy character, or any of that, obviously this would be good with some bretty funky, but its minimal nature is appealing too. soft for a sour on the palate, very nicely carbonated, and technically quite solid, would be a fine platform for other fruits as well, peaches in high summer come to mind. these guys are on a roll!

Half pour at Bert's. Mauve pour, a few fine bubbles. Strong raspberry aroma. Taste is raspberry with mild tartness. Some dry tartness lingers on the palate.
