definitely a good choice for a packaged beer, one of their best, most refined, and even in this style space i think one of their more distinctive beers, so tidy and expert in the execution, most other local breweries are probably jealous of how good this is, easily a top player for idaho made pils of any type, really clean and tasty, infinitely drinkable, and well nuanced to me. czech style, despite the listing here, the cans say czech inspired, and to me it seems a little lighter than standard on the grain, less european outwardly, this is really pale and basic in that regard, its pils malt sure, but its not dusty and earthy and german, nor biscuity and mineral forward and old worldy in other respects either, instead its almost neutral in here, subtle white bready character and its dry and all, a fine foundation of course but its not a lead aroma or flavor, and it keeps the overall structure very light in this, freshness evident though. thin yellow look to it, bright but without immaculate clarity, average white head in terms of both height and retention. nose and taste are both light on yeast too, some minerality, stone-like, drying, good water, so minimal though, the ferment makes this crisp and super thirst quenching, but like the grain doesnt add as much flavor to this as i am used to in the style, so this seems especially easy drinking, and its level of cleanliness is off the charts, nowhere to hide any imperfections, and there are none. beer flavored beer, but taking some white and yellow floral nuance, trace key lime and green pear, and perhaps even tea nuance from the hops, which to me really make this, subtle as they are. good bitterness late too which snaps it up even further, and the rushing carbonation is ideal, its nearly totally gone on the swallow, each sip asks kindly for another larger one, and this ends up being a pounder. truly refreshing when frosty cold, but it warms up better than most. this is one they should really be proud of, and im sure its going to become a top seller for them as they continue to expand where their stuff is sold. this could play with just about any pils being made in the northwest, i mean it!

16oz can from Bert's. Pale golden pour, fizzy white head. Bready, grainy aroma. Malty taste, adding a nice crisp bite and some sweetness. Very smooth and oh so tasty.
