tangerine wheat, literally like good orange juice, or better a nice mimosa, the fruit is real, there is a lot of it, and even if the wheat beer seems basic and less refined than their best stuff, i think the overall beer is a success, especially for summer. i like that the tangerine element is as bold as it is, almost perfume level intensity in the aroma and with some acidity on the palate, definitely the real deal, its forward in nose and taste but its also not the only thing here, the wheat has its turn, adding a nice earthy body and a crackery cereal complexion that keeps this from being straight up juice, hops are light and the yeast is out of the way, so this ends up simple and approachable. light lemon and even vanilla notes as it warms, some mid palate sweetness, a light back end tang, orange soda, nectarine, and husky white wheat. a little more body and a little less carbonation than i think would be ideal, but its hard to be critical as this is fresh and vibrant because of the fruit. without the tangerine im not sure how great this would be, but with them, it hits. in addition to the quality across the board here, its also cool how much new stuff there is every time we pop in, great beer menu the last several visits with a lot of movement, keep up the great work!

Draft at the Taphouse. Hazy pale golden pour, thin tight white head. Light tangerine aroma. Taste features more of the tangerine on top of a nice bready, biscuity base. Refreshing.
