A classic German-style pilsner featuring Montana Craft Malt - Bavarian Pilsner malt. Floral/herbaceous hop nose and balanced bitterness with a dry finish. Highly drinkable.

this is good, but these guys are doing that thing where they are brewing the same styles again and again and coming out with beers with new names and minor tweaks, but not really changing them all that much or improving in any way, like this has to be about their sixth pils, all doing something real similar, and this feels lighter than their recent iteration in terms of body and overall grain character, but its not appreciably unique or better, but again, its delicious, a light and very well refined beer, bubbly, really minimal on the grain side, clean noble type hops at the end that balance but do not really bitter this much, and the aroma and flavor are pretty similar, faint astringency in here as it warms, dry cereal foundation, excellent water chemistry and really crisp and professional lagering on display, which these guys have had down since the very beginning. this is pale yellow, crystal clear, and sports a lot of white foam with great retention, the side pull faucet flatters this, as it so often does, brilliant carbonation, the mouthfeel is nice. some amount of husk and hull character to the malt as it warms, gives it a european vibe, all seems very fresh to me. i appreciate that these guys are making little tweaks and process changes batch to batch, but they are starting to run together a little bit for me, the same is true across their ambers as well, it shows on their beer menu like innovation, but in the glass its a little less exciting. still, im never going to complain about a pils executed at this level, and im not complaining about this one, its crisp and easy, nice for spring, and one ill be happy to drink half liter after half liter as long as its on tap!
