Draft at Bert's . Pale yellow pour, wispy head. Light zesty aroma, citrus peel. Taste is light, fruity, citrus, zesty. Incredibly smooth with a little dryness.

a little outside their normal wheelhouse, but a solid offering here, a hazy pale, which should probably be a style of its own here on BA, but its not the only one in that camp, whatever, its a pale ale not an ipa, but its pretty darn hop forward, even has some greenness and bitterness to it, lots of body too, drinks heavier than it sounds, but i like it anyway, i believe brewed for treefort music festival where these guys were a big sponsor, its very modern beer that im sure did well with that crowd. the hop profile is interesting, almost more herbal and grassy than fruity, although it warms to overripe melon and even subtle coconut, its got a strong hoppy nose and a long linger after the swallow, green tea and cut flowers, cantaloupe and honeysuckle, appropriately springy, on the edge of being too much, but the base beer is well constructed to support all the hops in this, wheaty to me, starchy and fuller feeling, off dry but without a lot of actual malt taste, which i think is right on for this, balanced in a new school way where the hops are still way out in front, lightly spicy as it sits too, oily a little bit, would love to know what hops are in here, it has nice movement and is quite dynamic overall, maybe not a beer i could drink five of, even with the lower abv, but a robust and delicious and very fresh tasting almost ipa, berts never misses. cool that they did the treefort thing, must have been a ton of awesome exposure for them...
