Draft at Bert's. Bright, clear golden, light, fine white head. Biscuity aroma with light smoky character. Taste continues with smoky flavors, palt malts, crackers.

lots of new stuff at berts right now, and this is a basic everyday blonde ale type, but its a good one, well refined, lightly hopped but its non negligible, and there is a real ease to it, just a pounder if you want one, and while i vastly preferred their over the top impressive japanese lager, there is a lot to like with this one too, smooth lighter body, a honey note in aroma and flavor, soft citrus at the end, a slow fade and a high refreshment value, clean like pretty much all the berts stuff, some actual malt flavor though, and something with mass appeal, absolutely. lighter than golden in the glass, truly yellow, clear, with a short white head. its a little simple in the nose, i mean it just kind of smells like a beer, light hops to it but no bitterness, mildly sweet, while the flavor has a bit more grain depth, some richer but short of toasted notes, and is a little longer. it presents as fresh, intentional, and professional, a craftier side of a style that can sometimes feel like an afterthought when you visit breweries, but this is as polished up as the rest of their lineup and a nice addition for this time of year, with football comes volume drinking i think, and this fits that bill rather well, could rip these all day long. effective take on an generally unexciting style.
