new and delicious, clean and light like all their stuff, done in collaboration with mill 96 and gooding farms, all centennial i believe in this, and a nice expression of them, both herbal and citrusy, obviously fresh but not out of balance or anything, not green, nice and oily and dank but also real drinkable, and super well refined too, crystal clear radiant golden to brass colored beer with an inch of lasting white head and some web lacing as it drinks, immaculate pour. the nose on this is quick, tight, fresh, brisk, orange zest and mowed lawn and lemon verbena, honeysuckle, and actually a decent bit of pale barley malt, soft toast and honey in support of the hops, absolutely invisible ferment, modest bitterness apparent, ipa sure, but light and balanced in a pale ale range almost to me. same with the flavor, fresh and clean and well proportioned throughout, and either the whole thing is the flavor climax or there isnt one, because its essentially the same start to finish, soft citrus, mild sweetness, orange specifically i guess. leafy green weediness, yellow florals and a honey thing, steady but nonabrasive bitterness, papaya and melon, all very pleasant. lighter carbonation but its enough, i feel the hops as i taste them, and im into that. somewhat of a safe play maybe, but the quality is objectively wonderful. not a standout so far this fresh hop season, but a great beer anyway, a little gentler than many and thats cool.
