as good as i expected it to be, lovely in their little pils glasses they use here, radiant pour with racing carbonation on a clear sunny yellow body, high airy white head well over an inch and lasting, consistent bubbles the whole time, these must be nucleated, light and well refined looking, it looks refreshing, and it is! the nose is classically styled, the grain seems right, lots of character for its pale color, light nuttiness, dry to me with a cereal note, lager yeast is mellow and a little more neutral than expected, hops are tame too, with noble grassiness and a little bit of clean citrus, summery and in bloom, really nice, balanced, and distinctive, carrying some bitterness it seems too, but delicate beer overall, real well put together, fresh as can be, nicely hopped. the flavor is good, also very fresh, ive had more flavorful versions of this, but i like how balanced and clean it is, i like the less obviously european lager yeast, i like the room that leaves for this quality pils malt, and i like the hops all being late, adds a nice snap to this, subtle champagne character as it warms, mowed lawn, lime, lemon, and awesome minerality and overall water chemistry. this is a drinker and i am here for it. exquisite carbonation on this too. a great addition to their menu this time of year, and yet another fire lager from berts, who has really found their groove with those! effortless and not boring, real well done.
