This beer is NOT RETIRED. I found it in a grocery store in Shanghai China, so it must be distributed from somewhere, meaning someone is making it.
A: Anyway, poured from the 500mL can into a pint glass. the beer is an ok looking cola color with a tan head. Not bad.
S: Lots of buttery notes, butterscotch and then a toffee or caramel note underneath. Malt heavy, but not sure what to make of the quality. Not bad, but has an overly sweet characteristic that I can't put my finger on.
T: More malt heavy characteristics, but this time it's a bit more balanced and rounded out. Caramel and toffee and still that lingering butterscotch note, but there is a more bittersweet cola charactersitic in there also.
F: Biting and medium bodied sort of like a cola.
Overall: Not too bad. A bit unbalanced or cloying but it was a welcome find. Not sure if I'll buy it again or seek it out another time, but it wasn't bad. Average.

Dark ruby color with a charcoal streak. Carbonation level low, huge coffeish head, plenty of lace.
Aroma very rich & complex: roasted malts, mocca, dry fruit, oaked sherry.
Start malty, soft, taste becoming stronger in the middle, a bit smoky, yeasty & grainy, with hops and roasted malts delivering much-welcome bitterness in the finish. Body full, mouthfeel very smooth. Delicious fruity-grainy aftertaste.
