At Cafe Brecht, Amsterdam.
Made with blackthorn berries.
Amber-tinged gold with floaties and creamy lumpy head that crusts.
Herbal, sour fruit nose - weird but not unpleasant.
Jammy with some some challah dough underneath, lots of orchard and stone fruit (apples, apricots,) a bit of clove, bit of coriander seed.
Plum skin and tart hit to end, candy sugar linger.
Round, chewy, medium.
Lots of residual sugar that ends up cloying a bit. Could use something (hops?) to cut the sweetness. Interesting, if nothing else.
