Type: 16-oz. can

Glass: North Park 16-oz. Willi Becher glass
Price: $15.50 for a mixed 4-pack
From: Blind Lady Ale House
Purchased: March 31, 2021
Consumed: April 29, 2021
Misc.: Collaboration with Burgeon; Canned on March 26, 2021
Grabbed this as part of a Burgeon/Fall collab mixed 4-pack at Blind Lady Ale House. I love that BLAH is doing these lately as I’m on their website every day. Untappd description read “Double Dry Hopped Pale Ale with all domestic hops!! Loaded with a metric f*ck-ton of Simcoe, Citra, Strata & Amarillo. Collaboration with Burgeon Beer Company.”
Poured a pale yellow clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom and sides of the glass. World-class layered foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Simcoe, pine, black pepper, dank resin, Citra, wet grass, orange rind, Amarillo, earthy pilsner malt and maybe just a touch of Strata. Almost as good out of the can. Was getting more Strata there. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted Simcoe, pine, citrus zest, dank resin, black pepper, bitter orange rind, Amarillo, grapefruit peel, Citra, wet grass, earthy malt, papaya and melon. Wasn’t getting much Strata as Simcoe dominated, followed by Amarillo and Citra. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, slightly bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)
For an American Pale Ale, this was excellent. (Overall - 4.25)
