Canned on 10/25/2023; consumed on 1/19/2024
Pours a crystal-clear straw hue capped with multiple fingers of fluffy, eggshell-white foam; good head retention leaves a half-finger of cap, large, foamy collar, and expansive chunks of soapy, webby lacing coating the walls of the glass.
Aromas of melon open as a fragrant florality courses over the sense, with shades of fresh grain and white toast accenting milder undertones of orange zest and a delicate, white grape imbuement.
Taste shows a clean minerality and distant grassiness, setting a foundation for white toast and straw to flourish over the profile as lesser white grape and lime fade through the finish.
Mouthfeel brings a light body and a rounded air of fluffy, moderate-full carbonation; tautly flaky texturing yields an impressive snap over the back end, with lingering dryness accented by distant, grassy bittering fading past the swallow.
Hop-forward without abandoning a core identity, this is a fragrant and expressive take on the German Pilsner, with a clean presentation serving the overarching ethos to expansively approachable results.
