lovely beer, nitro brown ale with peruvian coffee, my first from these guys, first i ever heard of them actually i think, but i am a coffee beer lush and had to order this, cool to see a brown on nitro too, not the norm, but it flatters this for sure, really well made stuff. on the darker side of the style, some reddish edges but this is the dark and roasty looking, gorgeous nitro head too, two inches high and super creamy, perfectly done, nice shine on this. nitro sometimes mutes aroma in beer, but one sniff and its obvious that this coffee is legit, bigtime cocoa powder, hazelnut, and almond notes to it and solid grain richness with it, cocoa there too, some roast, and i like this being a little darker on the grain side with all the coffee in it, its not over roasted which is nice, the true character of the bean is on full display, and it drives the flavor too, nutty and earthy and with subtle caramel coming out, but this is never sweet, tempered some by the nitro i reckon, but the creaminess of the mouthfeel is well worth it, so soft and plush and inviting, velvet smoothness, perfect for the coffee, its like the top of an expert cappuccino, and it really sets this off. love the back end bitterness, the light caffeine pick up this delivers, and the lack of acid or harshness from the coffee addition. texture is amazing, a lot of body for what it is, but it suits the flavors, could have a little lactose in it, the name makes me think maybe as well, cozy without being overly rich, awesome coffee. i will be on the hunt for more beers from these guys, this was real impressive! a killer morning beer.

Pours amber brown with thick lacing khaki foamy crown. Strong hold notes of Peruvian coffee make this an amazing brown ale on nitro draught at ISM brewing Long Beach. NOC coffee bite make this a nice brew.
