Our Hazy IPA is a double dry hopped New England style beer with floral and strong citrus notes. The first sip brings a strong citrus, tangerine and mango flavour with a hint of pine, couple with a smooth finish.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Nov 11 2025 and served barely chilled. Check out that freshness - I'm impressed.
Pours a hazy, turbid, muddied yellow colour, scaring up half a centimetre of frothy white head that disintegrates within sixty seconds. A thin collar and a wispy pattern on the surface are all that remain, though there is some spotty lace deposition after a sip or two; looks alright. Smells a little juicy; I'm getting citrusy aromas of grapefruit, mandarin orange and lemon, as well as hints of tropical fruit, wheat and floral hops.
Nice flavours, but not exactly distinctive: the profile is heavy on citrus, with grapefruit and orange standing out in particular. Hints of mango and passion fruit by mid-sip, with floral, pithy hops rounding out the back end. Minimal bitterness, with a citrusy, mildly sweet aftertaste that doesn't linger for long. Medium in body, with very low carbonation that barely registers on the tongue; smooth, very soft mouthfeel with solid drinkability.
Final Grade: 3.74, a B grade. Torched Brewing's Hazy IPA would really hit the spot on a warm summer afternoon, so I encourage anyone passing through Grand Bend next summer to stop by the pub and try it for themselves. Its mellow, fruity flavour profile, low bitterness and relatively modest abv combine into a very approachable & drinkable hazy IPA. The fact that this can was exceedingly fresh is a major plus, as those hop flavours are still bright and lively - if only there were a little more variety, or at least some more 'oomph' behind them. That's where my issue is: this is a very inoffensive IPA, to the extent that it is borderline forgettable. Still, it's an above average brew; good work from this Ontario microbrewery.
