It’s a White Bay kinda day. One where we cheers our Czech mates.
Yes, this is our take on one of the world’s greatest beers – a crisp
Czech Pilsner. Brewed on Sydney Harbour, at home anywhere.

Disclaimer, this Pils is not "true to style" as we like to quote Michael Jackson, godfather and mentor of beer styling.
But, White Bay has brewed a nice lager. If I'd add this again, I'd style it as a German Pils. It simply lacks the hops of a Czech.
So why do I like it? Mostly because it suits the Aussie palate. It is refreshing. When served cold (as Aussies prefer), White Bay's Pils doesn't have lots a complexities caused by cold lagering; so not much gets missed. Here's what I mean. When poured, I'm greeted by a nice head that goes away. Also average are the Smells of sweet malt, but not much else. For Tastes, they are balanced but only in mid-palate do I sense the use of hops and only in the finish do they assert themselves enough to control the sweet malts. Somewhat viscous for a pils, but still medium-mouthed. Not a masterful pils, but effective for a malt-head like me.
My first from White Bay, so I go on their website. Still young, they have one taproom in a former industrial building on Sydney Harbour. The taproom is open only four nights a week, so they are not yet a destination. But I like their whole former working-class now urban regeneration feel. So for that and lots of good luck, I give good Overall Hugs. Cheers, Mates!
