I like lager specialists. And while still young, White Bay focusses on their lagers. So it goes with this Festbier. Their can talks about how White Bay pays homage to this tradition and details its brewing process. A good start to a seasonal favourite. I give White Bay very good Overall Hugs.

This Festbier Looks only slightly above average. However its Smells are mostly sweet malt and some hops in the back of my nose. The hops increase mid-palate for better balance and then taper off for the style's typical semi-semi-dry finish. Medium-mouthed. Clean. I look forward to it improving next year (and wintering Down Under.)

I read that youngster White Bay has had a merger of convenience (probably distribution) with middle-aged Hawkers Beer in Melbourne. More reason for VG OA Hugs.
