a solid everyday drinker, i like that their cans say for the working class, and this feels like a blue collar lager, flavorful but not hoppy or anything, clean but not overly refined, and grain driven without being objectively malty or sweet at all, simple really, less impressive than their barn raiser ipa, but a fine last beer of the night after a nice evening of sipping beers, paired well with a quick quesadilla and spicy salsa. blonde and off from full clarity, fizzy but only holding a quarter inch of foam on it from the pint can, a little bit of body apparent even though this is light overall. the aroma and flavor have a crackery pils type malt foundation out in front, cereal character and simple, not cheap or adjuncty in the least, somewhat agricultural even. the hops are minimal here, and a bit more back end bitterness would not be inappropriate, but it presents as fresh and approachable this way. the lager yeast has a bit of character too, a little doughy, earthy, unifying, drying, somewhat expressive but not quite european to me. it warms up with subtle lemon, proofing dough, and a floral wrinkle. light sweetness late, fine carbonation, lighter medium body but decent structure overall for what this is. good but in some ways unremarkable, a solid mindless drinker with some flavor, good after work beer, which seems like the goal, so mission accomplished.
