A few weeks ago, we visited HerrGårdens Humle in southern Sweden to visit and check out their hop yard, just as this year's crop is approaching harvest time. What we experienced was a beautiful setting filled with some of the finest, freshest hops we'd ever had the pleasure to sniff. The entire harvest of those gorgeous hops - 95 kg of Comet, Chinook and Cascade, to be precise - were picked, driven directly to the tank on the same day and soaked whole and fresh on the cold side to finish our first ever holiday beer

Frederiksberg 20/11 2024. 40 cl from tap at Tap 21, H.C Ørstedsvej, Frb. C.
Pours unclear amber with a small white head. Settles as a 0,2 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a scent of citrus. Sweet pale malts with a touch of caramel. Lime and lemon. Whiff of metallic alcohol.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft and smooth, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry and a little thin.
Refreshing but thin.
