Review number 666 - the Devil's review!
Purchased at the source in October 2024 and drunk in January 2025.
L: In the glass, the beer is a slightly hazy golden yellow, with a quickly disappearing bubbly, white head. Lots of carbonation can be seen rushing upwards. It would score higher if the head had stayed longer or left a more substantial rim once it dropped.
S: The nose is a little yeasty and cidery, with a soft vanilla note at the end. It very much smells like a Euro lager.
T: In the mouth, it's sweet and lemony, especially on warming, with the yeasty notes from the nose dialled right back. There's a very mild citric bitterness and a dry finish. This tastes much better than the nose otherwise indicated!
M: The mouthfeel is full and thick, with moderate carbonation and quite the carbonic kick on the swallow.
O: This is a nice lager that tasted better than I feared after parsing the aroma.
Cheers!
