a very nice german pils, hoppy, clean, fresh as can be, but still with some distinctive old world character, particularly from the pils malt. the yeast is really light, but its right on for this, i dont mind it being subtle with the hops being as forward as they are, this is vibrant and fun and super drinkable, good beers in here, i wish we could have stayed for more, looking forward to a return visit already. great clarity and sparkle to this, a real wispy inch of white head on top, proper glassware in here. some fresh floral character right away from the hops in the nose, a little later onset in the taste, in bloom, with some green grassiness and only middle of the road bitterness as these go, flavorful but delicate in this respect. the malt is also very light, wrapped up with a nice minerality and breadiness, but staying well dry the whole drink, really minimal in body too, and with peppy carbonation, so this is a real drinker. as this warms i get subtle lemon zest and vanilla notes, way back, curious in the style, but kind of neat too. the yeast is drying and crisping but without being as flavorful as it can often be in these, out of the way for the most part, but authentic enough still to make this seem right on. the balance and refinement here are excellent, and overall the quality of this and other other beer we had here were very high. seems like they have a good thing going here, this is all season lager just interesting enough to keep me at it. very pleased.
