Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a two finger white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of lightly biscuit malt, citrus hops, orange and light grapefruit. Flavor is biscuit malt, citrus hops, orange, lemon and touch of pine. Medium bodied light to moderate creaminess. A nice looking pale ale with a somewhat old fashioned biscuit malt body and basic Citra citrus and Cascade grapefruit, but also a bit of pine. Fairly straightforward pale ale with good bitterness. Many Northwest pale ales are of the lighter, crisper pale malt style now, but I personally prefer this biscuity profile just fine. All of my brews from this small brewery have been solid.
