650ml bottle - I thought all the beer name puns were already used up long ago, but I guess I was wrong!
This beer pours a slightly hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, rocky, and mildly bubbly dirty white head, which leaves some dissolving cloud form lace around the glass as it slowly seeps away.
It smells of gritty and grainy wheat malt, some musty yeastiness, subtle orange and lemon citrus rind, a weak earthy spiciness, and some plain leafy, herbal, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is semi-sweet, grainy and crackery cereal malt, wet Wheat Thins, sort of phenolic yeast, muddled domestic citrus peel, ephemeral black pepper and clove spice, and more well-understated earthy, musky, and floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly timid in its palate-disappointing frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and mostly smooth, but for a hint of yeasty acridity perhaps not obeying all local ordinances here. It finishes off-dry, the malt and frooty esters predominating.
Overall - this comes across as a sweeter version of the style, and not particularly complex. And there's something about the yeast profile that doesn't quite sit right with me. At any rate, give it a try, but don't say that I didn't warn ya!
