On tap at Barrington

Clear light amber, craggy broken sponge foam lacing in lace webs... floral pine and pineapple, slight herbal peppery accent... Simcoe and fruity Amarillo on the palate immediately, spicy dried mango in the aftertaste... bit resin out fat layer causing some swell and drag, spicy pinging bitterness and heat keeping the tongue and top of the mouth tingling... pretty nice throwback WC IPA flavors (2487)

Very "American" ipa ... A bit flat and not particularly exciting .. still, the quality is evident and appreciated here in the Garden State where i am currently sitting in my brother's patio

Deep golden, almost orange pour. Makes sense, as the nose conjures up tangerines. The flavor is in-your-face robust, kind of a party for the senses. Orange and grapefruit citrus is present along with a significant bite of bitterness bringing forward both pine and citrus rind. It's almost spicy. Very deep flavor makes this one to go back to.

A: Bright hazy tangerine orange shows a slight fizzy dull white head that was short lived. Good haze factor and coloring.

S: Sweet freshly sliced grapefruit with a side of lime and peach sweetness mixing together. A finish of grassy hops mingling with fresh lemon. The nose is fresh, wet with a medium strong awareness factor. Some onion-grassiness upon warming.

T: Tangerine and grapefruit dry bitterness, grassy hops and dry lemon for flavor. Orange flowery bitterness, pungent raw flowery hops of simcoe has a bit of pine and spicy appeal. Dry sour citrusy bitterness is even toned throughout with a warmth of grapefruit flower and alcohol on the swallow and finish.

M: Medium full body, pulpy grapefruit juice like feel, with a dry flowery coating on the tongue.

O: Overall a well hopped sour citrusy ipa, perfect for beating the heat and quenches the thirst.

Pours dark straw with orange hue; thick and slightly off white color head; sticky blots of lacing here and there.

Nose is fresh orange, zesty and fruity; pineapple, not devoid of malt presence, lightly caramelized.

The taste learns more towards the fruity side; grapefruit citrus like bite on the finish, a touch zesty; little bit sappy and lightly sweet on the finish.

Medium body; resiny hop presence on the tongue; clean and mostly dry on the finish, nice medium bitterness.

This is a nice old meets new ipa, it definitely has some fruity element to it but it mostly drinks like an old school ipa; in both feel and malt presence.

One of my favorite beers they make. A great mix of a WC IPA and a NE IPA. Nice grapefruit and pine notes along with some bitterness. Nice malt backbone as well. Very well crafted beer that flies under the radar compared to their other offerings.

12oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $3. Canned on 11/22/2022, so this is exactly three months old.

Look: Pours a rich copper color. The beer has a very slight haze and a half of a pinky finger of wispy off-white head.

Smell: Very nice grapefruit aromas along with a bit of pine and dank notes. There's some sweet, toasty and bready notes underneath the hoppy forefront. Subtle floral notes. Green bell pepper notes on the finish after swirling the glass.

Taste: This is really tasty. It has a lot more grapefruit juiciness than I was expecting, which tastes great especially when combined with the 2-Row, Munich, and Vienna malts. Up front, it has a very nice malty backbone - toasty, cereal grains, bready. The beer transitions to juiciness for a moment, and then the finish is dry and moderately bitter with lots of grapefruit rind and pith. Lots of hoppy Simcoe character here.

Feel: I would say that this beer is medium plus bodied. Perfectly carbonated.

Overall: This is really solid. Is this available year round? This beer reminds me of a combination between Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale and Lawson's Double Sunshine - Ruby Red Grapefruit. This is really crushable and super delicious. I would definitely pick this up again!

From the can:
Classic American India Pale Ale
Hops: Simcoe - Amarillo - Mosaic
Malts: 2-Row - Rolled Oats - Munich - Vienna - Acidulated - Aromatic
