Brewed with a plethora of dark specialty malts, and hopped with hallertau mittelfruh, cascade, and chinook.

16oz can served in a curvy pint glass. Can is dated 02/05/2024. @jonphisher sent it to me.

Pours very dark brown, clear, light gets through, but not much. Medium sized head. Smell is nuts and grain, maybe some earthy/barky bitterness.

Taste is interesting. Nutty, bready sweetness, a bitterness that reminds me of that brown paper like material you find in walnuts (I think?), some resinous bitterness.

Mouthfeel is rich and full. This is a very nice brown.

This beer pours beautifully; it glistened a crystal clear dark brown stream from the can, dense creamy and somewhat bubbly light brown head…very good retention and nice lace…crystal clear when backlit but bright light.

Nose is hoppy yet restrained; comes off as mostly soft earthy and light pine, a rich but again restrained dark chocolate, a raisin like fruitiness with dark roast coffee on the back end.

Taste is also nicely hop forward but well balanced; same light pine bite, then light black coffee that finishes like a dash dark chocolate on the finish.

Body is medium; creamy smooth carbonation; very easy to drink for 6%, finishes with both moderately hop and roast driven bitterness.

A great American brown; it’s hoppy and just enough to not interfere with the brown ale notes…both working in harmony. I like this one a lot…
