330 ml bottle, as Adriaen Brouwer Winter Wood 2016 Whisky Oaked. ABV is 10.0%. Mahogany colour, large off-white head. Aroma of brown kandij sugar, caramel, dark dried fruits, oak and whisky. Warming mouthfeel. Rich and malty flavour, fairly sweet, with the same elements as in the aroma. Also hints of mild spices. Good stuff.

Pours a deep mahogny dark color with a big top of beige head that dissolves slowly. Strong aroma off caramel, toffee, dark bread, plums, dates, raisins ,wood and spices. The flavour is delcious with strong malty notes. Nice notes of caramel, roasted malts ,wood and dark bread nicely balanced with some sweet notes of dark and dried fruits and burned sugar. The flavour gets more hints of spices in the finish, still with that nice malt profile in the back. The alcohol is hidden very well in the flavour. The aftertaste is long and strong.
Mouthfeel is creamy and soft with a medium carbonation and a medium body and a full body.
This was an amazing belgian dark ale. Enjoyed it to the last drop.

One of the best!
Is there a better looking brew? Not sure there is.......
Lovely mahogany body topped with thick creamy caramel head.
Retention is great and lacing sublime.
Winter Wood by name Winter Wood by nature, deep spiced fruits, figs dates, just fantastic.
Taste is as good as it gets, the whiskey oaked storage really adds to this beverage. Still the guts of it is a caramel malt, but the finish is class.
Feel is super smooth, a lovely lingering aftertaste on the tongue.
Overall, one of the best. A top 10 beer in any serious drinkers book.
Just sublime!

From elcervecero. In Teku glass. Watching Game of Thrones 6x03. A beer where the whisky aging adds value thanks to its subtleity. It even seems to add some refreshing feeling
