Quite a decent and cheap Belgian triple I’ve bought in a supermarket in France.

Poured into a Duvel tulip leaving a two inches white head lasting a bit.

Aroma is pear, apricot and melon. Lovely mouthfeel as I’d expect from a Belgian triple and no warmth of alcohol despite its well hidden 9% ABV.

Overall a worthy Tripel as many in Belgium and worth its under 2€.

Got in a trade with Shanex. 330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 1/28/2021. Leaked bottle in shipment. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a small fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, no streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, candi sugar, honey, cracker, white bread dough, light toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, pale malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big lemon, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, candi sugar, honey, cracker, white bread dough, light toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; and pepper/clove yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, candi sugar, honey, cracker, white bread dough, light toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, pale malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Mild carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and fairly crisp/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 9%. Overall this is an excellent tripel. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, pale malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish; very well attenuated for the ABV. Great well rounded Belgian yeast complexity, clean pils malts/sugars, and nice noble hop presence/balance for the style. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressively well made style example. Adjusted the score for the known lack of carbonation, but it was still spot on stuff.
