The beer arrived at the table cloudy golden amber with a very long lasting white head that laced the glass.
The aroma was strong cinnamon and a very slight caramel. The cinnamon was almost overdone, but something about it was very alluring and draws you in.
The flavor was strong cinnamon with a very low maltiness and a slight caramel.
The finish was just dry with lasting cinnamon spice long into the aftertaste. The body was medium. The spice character far outshined any contribution of the sweet potato. The spice could be toned back and the aroma would still be the heart and soul of this offering.
